FAQ

Long-Term Chef Placement is suitable for clients seeking a chef for contracts of six months or longer. This option is commonly preferred for private households, estates, villas, family offices, and long-term residential arrangements requiring consistent culinary service.

Seasonal Chef Placement covers contracts between two and six months. It is ideal for summer residences, holiday homes, seasonal estates, extended family stays, or projects requiring a chef for a defined period.

Temporary Chef Placement applies to contracts of up to two months. This solution is often used for holiday periods, short-term cover, temporary staffing needs, guest stays, or specific projects requiring professional culinary support for a limited duration.

The appropriate placement category is determined according to the duration and scope of the assignment.

First of all, please fill out our form or send an e-mail to let us know the basic information about your chef need. In the next step, our Chef Advisors will contact you to obtain a detailed job description. After signing the preliminary agreement stating that you accept our terms, you will be presented with a carefully selected list of Chefs or Cooks fitting your needs and expectations.

Professional Events & Special Projects refer to assignments requiring chefs for private, corporate, promotional, hospitality, or large-scale events.

Depending on the nature of the event, we can source individual chefs, chef teams, or specialist culinary professionals. Each event is evaluated individually, and requirements such as guest numbers, duration, location, menu complexity, staffing requirements, and logistical needs are taken into consideration when determining the scope of the service and applicable fees.

The above fees and terms may vary for Michelin-starred chefs, executive-level culinary professionals, large-scale events, corporate functions, and bespoke projects. Please contact us directly to discuss your specific requirements.

Trial cooking can be organized only for a single day or max 3 days. We expect you to pay the chef on a daily basis. The daily fee requested by the chef for the trail cooking will be notified to you. Transportation costs (airways-train-bus-taxi-airport transfer) of the chef are fully under your responsibility. In a single day or 3 day trial cooking, you can try your chef candidate for lunch or dinner, or request breakfast, lunch and dinner. The chef candidate will prepare menus for you according to your preferences. The chef will inform you of the budget and organize for shopping. You must allocate the necessary budget for shopping, provide your vehicle driven by your chauffeur or the taxi expenses to the chef. Atlantica does not charge any fees for trial cooking.

All of our Chefs and Cooks have a high level of skill and experience in adapting to any kind of cuisine and organizing a kitchen. If they need any additional equipment, they may bring their own equipment or will notify you for purchase.

For events, please let us know if this is something you would like the Chef to do. Based on your note in this regard, a chef will be selected who can advise you on drinks.

We will be able to determine what kind of cuisine you desire with the information you will give us while booking. If you wish for a specific cooking style or have special preferences, we will recommend the best chef or cook to fulfill such requirements. You will be able to evaluate the recommended chefs by reviewing their files containing sample plate pictures. Afterwards, your Chef/Cook will contact you and provide menu options.

For your events, you reserve the right to cancel free of charge up to 120 hours (5 days) before the event. If you cancel less than 120 hours (5 days) before the event, you will be required to pay 100% of our reservation fee and 50% of the chef's agreed fee. The Long- or short-term hires have a different policy regarding your dissatisfaction with your hired chef instead of a cancellation policy. Please review terms & conditions.

In the event that chef cancels the agreement or on a short term and long term placements if the business relation is terminated within the probation period, Atlantica is obliged to recommend and select another chef to the client in accordance with the demands and needs of the client. Atlantica does not charge a fee for this selection and the second placement. But this is subject to certain conditions. For more detailed information, please review our terms & conditions.

Most chefs and cooks will be happy to do this, however this may not always be feasible for larger events. For events exceeding 10 people, we recommend you to hire experienced Service Staff.

Yes, the chef does all the kitchen shopping. Chefs prefer to make their own shopping and your only task is to provide the budget the chef will need for the supply list.

It depends on the menu you choose. Your chef or cook will adapt to your needs and, if necessary, your chef may need to pre-prepare a day or two in advance.

For events with more than 10 guests, we recommend that you provide assistance for washing the dishes.
